{"id":2026,"date":"2020-05-19T14:33:49","date_gmt":"2020-05-19T14:33:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/suiterx.sgflores.com\/?p=2026"},"modified":"2020-05-19T14:33:49","modified_gmt":"2020-05-19T14:33:49","slug":"pde-prescriber-id-editing-and-states-of-emergencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.suiterx.com\/?p=2026","title":{"rendered":"Notification of PDE Prescriber ID Editing and States of Emergencies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Due to COVID-19, CMS will continue to exercise discretion, allowing pharmacists to authorize emergency fills when prescribers are not available to provide refill renewal prescriptions, when consistent with state emergency declarations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a prescriber is unavailable to refill a patient&#8217;s prescription, a pharmacist may authorize the refill. This emergency exception can only be used when previously authorized by a prescriber. Pharmacy claims should be submitted using a Type 1 NPI-Individual.
